Leonard's founder, Leonard R. Tucker, Sr., was a visionary and school photography pioneer. The company started photographing school children in the late 1940s, with Mr. Tucker, Sr. operating all aspects of the business on his own. The business quickly grew, and Mr. Tucker Sr. brought in his wife, sister and family to help him service the schools in St. Johns and surrounding counties.
Today, Leonard's St. Augustine facility is home to more than eighty full-time employees in a state-of-the-art, 36,000-square-foot photographic lab and commercial printing facility.
